Hanle is one of the most remote and tranquil villages in India, sitting at approximately 4,500 meters above sea level. Here, ancient pastoral traditions meet the modern pursuit of astronomy, making it a destination unlike any other.

How to Reach Hanle:
From Leh, the journey takes approximately 9-10 hours by road. You will need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) and a Hanle permit, available at the DC office in Leh.
Best Time to Visit:
June to September, when the roads are accessible and skies are clearest.
What to Bring:
Warm clothing is essential. We recommend resting in Leh for 48 hours before traveling to Hanle to acclimatize to the altitude.
